Caring for Garden of Karma Terrariums
Garden of Karma terrariums are generally low maintenance, self-contained eco-systems.
The key to getting the best out of yours is to provide bright indirect light & water sparingly.
Light
A slightly shaded south facing window is ideal for lots of natural indirect light. Ensure you avoid direct light as this will overheat & cook the plant/s inside.

Position
Once the perfect place has been found, ensure you leave your Terrarium in the same place. An even temperature indoors is ideal, away from drafts, heaters & air-conditioners.
Watering
The main challenge with terrariums is achieving the correct moisture balance. It is best to underwater than overwater. Water is needed sparingly, perhaps every few weeks to once per month depending on the humidity level. Use a spray bottle or a small watering can with delicate sprout to apply water around the base of the plant/s, careful not to get foliage too wet. A healthy moisture level is indicated by a few water droplets on the glass. If the glass is consistently foggy or misted over, there is too much moisture. To address an excess of moisture, remove lid for a few hours
to a day to allow some water/moisture to evaporate.
Pruning
Regularly pinch off growing tips to control height and encourage bushier growth.
Remove dying, brown or yellowing leaves & stalks to prevent rot & fungus growth.
Cleaning
Wipe the inside & outside of glass with lint free cloth or paper towel to ensure maximum
light penetration & clear view.
Fertilising
Is not generally necessary as slow plant growth is desirable in the confined space. If plants appear pale due to nutrient depletion, a highly diluted liquid fertiliser (ie, 1/4 strength) can be used sparingly during Summer & Spring.

By following these simple guidelines, your "Garden of Karma" terrarium should thrive with
minimal intervention.
